From Zero to Smart Contracts: Stellar Bootcamp in Delhi
Just finished the Build with Stellar India bootcamp here in Delhi. Starting with zero experience in Rust, I'm now writing and deploying smart contracts on the Stellar testnet. This wasn't just about learning; it was about building real, functional dApps.
Some highlights: wrote and deployed a Soroban smart contract using Rust, developed a React frontend that integrates with Stellar, implemented wallet authentication, tokenization, and live queries. Met some genuinely brilliant people in the Web3 space along the way.
A huge thank you to Akash Panda, President of Stellar India, for his talk and guidance on building within the Stellar ecosystem.
Shoutouts to some developers I met: Karan Bansal, the cheerful organizer of hackathons and co-founder of CodeQuity. Kanishk Kumar, who always asks the insightful questions about Rust. Rakshit Goyal, a CSE student at USICT Delhi with a knack for presenting ideas. And Saksham Kapoor, the first person I connected with at the bootcamp, who generously shared his ideas around smart contract security.
Grateful for the community, the energy, and yes, even the snacks. If you were at the bootcamp and we didn't get a chance to connect, feel free to send me a request.
